Heron’s Brook Bed & Breakfast is situated
at the bottom of the Ogmore Valley close to Junction 36 on the M4.
We are able to share with you the most fantastic views across the Mountains,
woodlands and rolling green hills with beautiful sunsets. On our doorstep
in Blackmill village there are two pubs serving excellent food, a corner
shop with post office and a petrol station. With easy access to a corridor
of cycle paths leading up the valley and down to the coast, rambling,
or even paragliding from the Blwch.

North is Brecon Beacon’s
The National Park with its natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage.
The National Park is dominated by a backbone of high mountains and moor
land. Peaceful valleys dotted with farms and woods with water being
ever present feature of the landscape.
South:
Local beaches offer a wide range of activities from Kite buggying/Sufing,
fishing, to windsurfing and surfing.
East is Cardiff the vibrant capital of Wales offering excellent shopping,
free access to all museum’s, Cardiff Castle, Techniquest, Cardiff
Bay with every type of restaurant that you could think of to choose
from.
West: Swansea & the Gower
The Cosmopolitan city of Swansea has a excellent shopping facility,
easy parking access and miles of coastal pathways leading to the Gower,
whether you choose to cycle or walk the scenery is just breathtaking.

Our Breakfast room is situated on ground floor level with breath taking
views looking over Blackmill village and mountains.
With our tasty breakfast menu to choose from, you could be trying my
Homemade bread, welsh Jam and locally produced meat for your cooked
breakfasts. This spacious room has plenty of space to sit and enjoy
your breakfast before setting out for the day.
This is also a reading room where you can relax and read all about
the local attractions and contemplate where to have you evening meal,
deciding if it will be our local pub the Fox & hounds which is within
walking distance or a short drive to our local town to choose from a
number or restaurants
